On June 23, 2025, Zhejiang University celebrated the graduation of its international students with a ceremony held at the Zijingang Campus Theater. The event brought together family, friends, and faculty from around the globe, marking a significant milestone for the graduating class.

The ceremony featured speeches, including one by Professor Zhou Jianghong, the vice-chancellor of the university. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2025 and encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning, become ambassadors of cultural exchange, and participate in sustainable development efforts.

AMMARALBAADANI, a distinguished alumnus and Yemeni physician from the Fourth Hospital affiliated with Zhejiang University's School of Medicine, shared his connection to the institution. He highlighted his achievements since graduating, including winning accolades and his commitment to fostering cultural exchanges between China and other nations.

Rhuan Coelho Cavalcante, a Brazilian master's degree graduate, expressed his dream of aiding his compatriots in learning Chinese. His experiences at Zhejiang University inspired him to establish a language training school, and he encouraged his fellow graduates with a philosophical quote from Zhuangzi about pursuing their passions.

The ceremony also recognized outstanding students as alumni liaisons, who will serve as crucial links between recent graduates and their alma mater. Mr. Huang Renqun, Deputy Director of the Development Liaison Office, presented appointment certificates to the new liaison officers.

In a celebratory gesture, graduates posed for group photos, capturing the significance of the occasion. As the ceremony concluded, the vibrant sounds of the school anthem filled the air, symbolizing a joyful farewell.

Before the official proceedings commenced, a festive atmosphere was created by Malaysian student Leong Yie Jie and Chinese student Liu Xiangsheng, who showcased a 'robot dog' to symbolize the spirit of innovation and celebration.

Dignitaries present included heads of various member organizations of the International Student Management Working Committee, faculty, and parents of the graduates. Their collective support underscored the importance of this occasion.

The event encapsulated the theme of embarking on new adventures as graduates were encouraged to apply their knowledge and experiences from Zhejiang University to the world.
