
On November 7, 2025, a significant visit took place at Zhejiang University as Zhang Zhenyang, president of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association in Malaysia, along with Secretary General Yang Qianshen, returned to their alma mater. The delegation toured the International Education College and engaged in meaningful discussions with prominent members of the Malaysian student association.
Warmly welcoming the delegation were Chen Nanfeng, Deputy Dean of the International Education Institute at Zhejiang University, and former Deputy Dean Lu Zhengzhong. During their meeting, Lu Zhengzhong highlighted the university's recent advancements across various areas, including its comprehensive strength, international educational initiatives, and strengthened alumni connections.
Lu Zhengzhong emphasized the role of the International Education Institute as a supportive environment for international alumni, affirming its commitment to providing enhanced and thoughtful services aimed at bolstering and expanding Zhejiang University's global alumni network.
Both President Zhang Zhenyang and Secretary-General Yang Qianshen expressed their delight at returning to Zhejiang University. They commended the university's remarkable progress in nurturing international talent and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship education over recent years.
Additionally, they shared current developments concerning the Malaysian Alumni Association and expressed their sincere appreciation and nostalgia for their alma mater, representing the sentiments of all alumni residing in Malaysia.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Student Affairs Office, signifying the collaborative spirit and mutual support between the university and its alumni community.
This visit not only fortified the bonds between the Malaysian Alumni Association and Zhejiang University but also established a strong foundation for prospective collaboration in various fields, including alumni services, cultural exchanges, and talent recruitment.
