
On January 19, the twelfth session of the Counselor Salon for 2025 took place in the conference room of the International Education Institute at Zhejiang University. The event was attended by Xu Minna, Deputy Director of the Student Work Department, along with Chen Nanfey, Deputy Dean of the International Education Institute. Li Juan, a dedicated mental health education teacher from the Mental Health Education and Counseling Center, was the invited speaker.
Li Juan focused her presentation on the theme "Prevention and Identification of Psychological Crises." She addressed crucial topics related to mental health literacy as well as the identification of psychological issues and the nuances of psychological crises. Her discussion encompassed various psychological problems, outlining clear signals and symptoms associated with psychological crises, and she offered methods for identification, assessment, and intervention derived from her extensive case studies and personal experiences.
Throughout her presentation, Li Juan not only emphasized the importance of recognizing psychological issues but also highlighted vital considerations for counselors in their pivotal role in promoting mental wellness. The engaging session prompted attending counselors and class teachers to participate in meaningful discussions, sharing insights based on their practical experiences in the field.
This session of the Counselor Salon delivered scientific guidance combined with valuable experiential learning for the attendees. The training facilitated a deeper understanding of psychological issues and crises, ultimately enhancing the counselors' abilities to effectively recognize and respond to such challenges.
As a result, the seminar contributed significantly to improving the professional competence and practical skills of the participants in the realm of psychological education.
