
On November 12, the International Education College had the privilege of hosting a lecture by Associate Professor Guo Lin, a distinguished educator from Tianjin Medical University. This event aimed to bolster the construction of the counselor team and advance the high-quality development of student affairs.
Wang Yufen, the executive vice president of the International Education College, opened the event with a welcoming address. In her speech, she expressed her hopes that the attendees would take full advantage of this opportunity to deepen their understanding of the counselor profession, including its meanings and various paths of development.
The audience comprised deputy secretaries of the Party Committee responsible for student affairs from multiple departments, including the School of Philosophy, the School of Marxism, and the School of Computer Science, along with counselors from the International Education College and other academic areas.
During the lecture, Associate Professor Guo Lin provided a comprehensive examination of the professional growth and development opportunities available for college counselors. She addressed the challenges present in today's educational environment, outlined essential core competencies, and discussed available avenues for scientific research.
