On March 19, 2026, Professor Carlege Masso, a distinguished alumnus from Burundi, returned to Zhejiang University, his alma mater, for a highly anticipated visit. Professor Masso holds a significant place in the university's lineage, having graduated from Zhejiang Agricultural University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree, followed by a graduate degree from Zhejiang University in 1999. During his visit, he reflected on his formative years at the institution and elaborated on his career path that led him to his current position as Director of the Environment Health and Biodiversity Platform for Impact at the International Livestock Research Institute, which operates under the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research.
