Join HKUST Guangzhou at 2025 Global Young Science Carnival

Join HKUST Guangzhou at 2025 Global Young Science Carnival

China is positioning itself as a global innovation hub with the upcoming 2025 Global Young Talents Carnival, which will take place in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This initiative aligns with China's goal to enhance its talent development strategies in order to foster a thriving environment for scientific research and technological advancements.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) is set to co-host the carnival alongside the Marie Curie Alumni Association (China Chapter). This event will feature the 2nd "Co-Creation and Future" International Young Scholars Interdisciplinary Forum, alongside the 3rd Annual Meeting of the Marie Curie Scholars Chinese Society, creating a platform for academic exchange and innovation.

In light of a new wave of scientific and technological revolutions, the Greater Bay Area stands out as a significant center for global intellectual collaboration. The carnival aims to attract young talents from diverse backgrounds, facilitating increased communication between emerging scholars and leading experts in various fields of study.

The event will be guided by several influential bodies, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Education. Their involvement underscores the importance of this initiative for fostering international cooperation among young scientists and innovators.

Highlights of the event include the establishment of a global elite academic exchange network that connects outstanding young scholars with top European scientists. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with key members of the EU's "Horizon Program," fostering collaboration across borders.

The carnival will also focus on promoting interdisciplinary innovation by addressing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, biomedicine, and advanced materials, thereby covering the full spectrum of the “hard technology + soft science” chain.

Furthermore, the event will provide participants with personalized career guidance, including face-to-face interactions with leading academics and opportunities to explore funding avenues in both China and Europe. This targeted approach aims to accurately match innovative enterprises with emerging talents within the Greater Bay Area.

Participants can expect an immersive experience within the Greater Bay Area's science and innovation ecosystem, including visits to the world-class facilities at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and an inspection of the local innovation environment.

The event will be held in early August 2025, with exact dates to be announced. It will take place at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) Campus, conveniently located for easy access to major transportation hubs.

Given the limited number of seats available, selected participants will have their travel, accommodation, and meals covered by the organizers. Interested individuals are encouraged to register immediately through the provided channels.
