Over 100 International Students Gather at Zhejiang University

From May 18 to 20, the second installment of the 'Perceiving China' academic exchange series took place at Zhejiang University, welcoming over 100 international students from 36 countries. This initiative, organized by the National Study Abroad Fund Committee, offered students from nations including the United States, Germany, Canada, and Russia an opportunity to engage in rich cultural and academic interactions.

While participating in scholarly discussions, attendees also immersed themselves in experiential activities aimed at deepening their understanding of China. Their itinerary included visits to cutting-edge enterprises in Hangzhou, where they explored the city's remarkable urban landscape, including the impressive Asian Games Stadium.

At Hangzhou Yunshenchang Technology Co., Ltd., students were captivated by the precision of four-legged robots, showcasing China's advancements in scientific innovation. This experience allowed the students to witness firsthand the synergy between technology and the cultural vibrancy of contemporary China.

As they stood on the city balcony of Hangzhou, participants enjoyed breathtaking views of the rushing Qiantang River and notable landmarks such as the Hangzhou Grand Theatre and Civic Center. The evening light show, combined with soothing music, left a lasting impression on the students, underlining Hangzhou's status as a hub of innovation that harmonizes its ancient heritage with modern advancements.

Despite their diverse backgrounds, the students shared a common admiration for the remarkable progress of China in recent years. Their visit not only enhanced their academic knowledge but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the nation's cultural richness and technological prowess.

Through their interactions and explorations, these international students were able to explore various aspects of China's modernization journey, effectively bridging the gap between different cultures and perspectives.
