The Chunhui Project is reaching a significant milestone as it celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025. Over three decades, the initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education, has played a pivotal role in uniting overseas Chinese talents, encouraging them to return to their homeland and contribute to national development. In recognition of this achievement, a special exhibition highlighting the accomplishments associated with the Chunhui Project will be held in Shanghai in mid-December.
To prepare for this exhibition, the organizing committee is actively seeking proposals that showcase outstanding achievements from Chinese experts and students abroad. The aim is to gather exemplary cases from both domestic and international individuals who have made noteworthy contributions in innovation and entrepreneurship.
There are two primary topics for submission. The first focuses on the remarkable accomplishments of overseas Chinese expert professors who have supported domestic initiatives through cooperative scientific research, technical innovations, and academic exchanges. This topic aims to demonstrate how these experts have positively impacted the academic landscape in China.
The second topic invites submissions related to students studying abroad who have excelled in innovation and entrepreneurial ventures. This includes those who have returned with notable achievements in areas such as technological advancements, academic breakthroughs, and successful business startups.
All submitted cases must adhere to specific requirements to ensure their authenticity and relevance. Each case should be grounded in reality and supported by accurate data, showcasing innovation and social impact. Various forms of material can be submitted, including textual documentation, images, videos, or historical artifacts.
Proposals must be submitted electronically to the designated email address by October 1, 2025. Contributors are requested to bundle their case materials and specify the title format clearly, indicating the “Chunhui Project Case,” along with their name, and institution in the email subject line.
Exceptional submissions will be compiled into a commemorative collection entitled the “Chunhui Project 30th Anniversary Achievements Collection,” which will be promoted through mainstream media channels. Winners will receive the opportunity to participate in the anniversary event planned for mid-December, and exemplary cases may serve as references for future policy enhancements related to overseas talent utilization.
For any inquiries, interested parties should contact the Chunhui Project’s project office. The designated contacts are Cao Lu and Li Xin, who can be reached at the provided phone numbers or email addresses. This outreach ensures that all interested contributors have the necessary support to submit their work effectively.
As the Chunhui Project moves forward in celebration of its legacy, it continues to highlight the importance of collaboration among overseas talents and their contributions to China's innovation landscape.
