In a significant shift regarding the governance of private education in Singapore, the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG) has officially announced the suspension of the renewal of the scope of accreditation for private education institutions. This decision, communicated to stakeholders following the issuance of the Notice Concerning Suspension, confirms that the SSG has now assumed oversight responsibilities previously held by the Singapore Private Education Council (CPE).

Despite the alteration in oversight, SSG has clarified that the scope of accreditation will not be expanded during this transitional phase.
