School of International Education Announces 2025 Summer Plans

School of International Education Announces 2025 Summer Plans

The School of International Education has officially announced its summer schedule for 2025, outlining key dates and events. All students will observe summer vacation from June 25 to September 11, with specific registration dates set for new international students. Registration will take place on September 9 and 10, and the fall semester is scheduled to commence on September 15.

During the summer vacation, departments and centers will organize various short-term projects and practical activities tailored for students. This initiative aims to enrich the summer experience and foster learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom setting.

For international students entering in 2025, a critical timeline is established. They will participate in an opening ceremony on September 12, followed by an initial education period running from September 11 through September 30. Returning students will also officially register on September 12.

Faculty and staff will adhere to a structured summer rotation from July 7 to September 7. This rotation allows executive faculty to take a 30-day break while ensuring that all departments maintain functional operations throughout this period. Specific guidelines have been set for the Foreign Experts and International Student Service Center to manage their own rotation processes.

During this summer rotation, all departments are tasked with maintaining essential daily operations, and office hours have been established from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. It is essential for departments to uphold a seamless procedural flow to foster an effective working environment.

Faculty and staff intending to travel abroad for personal reasons during the summer must complete the online 'Approval Process for Faculty and Staff Leave Cancellation' beforehand. Any individual who departs without school approval or fails to return before the semester’s start will be considered absent.

To ensure a productive summer, all departments are urged to prioritize the execution of key tasks outlined in the school’s work schedule. This includes preparing for new student registrations and ensuring a smooth transition into the new academic year.

Safety management remains a pivotal concern during the summer months. All departments should conduct thorough self-inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards, particularly in dormitories and cafeterias. The Office of Student Affairs will play a crucial role in providing safety education to students who remain on campus.

Duty arrangements are vital for maintaining support services during the summer season. Personnel will be expected to report important situations promptly to leadership, ensuring timely and effective responses. Ongoing communication and detailed reporting via OA's 'Duty Daily Report' will be emphasized.

With these arrangements well-established, the School of International Education is poised for a productive summer, ensuring that both staff and students are well-prepared for the upcoming academic year. The communication is designed to facilitate clarity and cooperation within the educational community.
