National Immigration Service Awards Frontier Garrison Medal

National Immigration Service Awards Frontier Garrison Medal

On April 2, 2025, the State Administration of Immigration, along with its various affiliated terminals, conducted a unified ceremony to present the 2025 Frontier Garrison Medal. A total of 1,429 police officers were honored with the National Immigration Administration's Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals, a recognition of their diligent efforts in maintaining border security.

In recent years, the significant number of police stationed along the borders under the State Immigration Administration has been steadfast in their commitment to Xi Jinping's ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics, embracing the goals laid out in the 20th National Congress as well as the subsequent plenums of the 20th CPC Central Committee. These officers have demonstrated unwavering dedication to their duties, ensuring the political security and stability of the nation while simultaneously fostering high-quality development in border areas.

According to the "Administrative Measures on Issuance of Frontier Medals by State Immigration Administration Agencies," the gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded annually to immigration management police who have served for significant periods in challenging remote settings across the Tibet Autonomous Region and other border provinces. Specifically, officers who have worked in three or more difficult regions for 30, 20, and 10 years are considered for these honors. The 2025 awards mark the third occasion since the program's inception in 2022, showcasing the ongoing service of border police.

The establishment of the National Immigration Administration's Frontier Medal, sanctioned by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, underscores the leadership's recognition of the vital role played by immigration management. It illustrates the attention given by the Party, particularly under the guidance of Comrade Xi Jinping, to the welfare of border police. This initiative not only acknowledges the efforts of these officers but also serves to galvanize them toward fulfilling their critical roles in safeguarding border integrity.

The awards ceremony serves as an impetus for the police to remain vigilant about their responsibilities, promoting the resilient spirit of the border garrison. It emphasizes the necessity for a robust commitment to the enduring prosperity and security of frontier regions, which are crucial for the nation's overall stability and development. The dedicated actions of these border police continue to make significant contributions toward ensuring that stability persists in these crucial areas.
