Strengthening Accreditation Exams for Degrees in Foreign Colleges

Strengthening Accreditation Exams for Degrees in Foreign Colleges

In an effort to safeguard the legitimate rights of students pursuing their education overseas, as well as to uphold the integrity of the international study environment, our center is implementing enhanced accreditation procedures. This comes in response to recent abnormalities observed in certification data from certain institutions, highlighting the importance of maintaining robust oversight in the study abroad sector.

Affected by this new policy are two specific institutions: France IPAG Business School and the European School of Internet Careers. Both of these institutions have been subjected to an increased level of scrutiny as outlined in Article 28 of the 'Measures for Accreditation of Academic Degrees Outside the Country'.

During this period of enhanced review, the processing time for certification applications from these institutions will be extended to a minimum of 60 working days from the date of application submission. This extended review period aims to ensure that all certification processes are thoroughly assessed to uphold the educational standards expected of foreign degrees.

It is highly advisable for graduates and current students of these institutions to stay in close communication with their respective schools. Keeping informed about the status of their certification applications is crucial during this time of extended review.

Additionally, students intending to study abroad are encouraged to remain vigilant about official announcements regarding these institutions. Careful consideration should be taken when selecting programs or colleges mentioned in the notifications, as the review process may impact their educational journey.

This announcement serves to inform stakeholders and reinforce the commitment to ensuring that foreign academic degrees meet established accreditation standards. Changes in accreditation procedures reflect the ongoing efforts to maintain a balanced and fair study abroad market.

The notice has been officially issued by the Ministry of Education Study Abroad Service Center, highlighting the importance of this matter as of May 22, 2025. Students and interested parties can reach out for further assistance via the provided hotline.

For any inquiries or clarification, individuals may contact the office located at the Huihuang Times Building in Beijing. Our center remains dedicated to providing clarity and support to students navigating the complexities of studying abroad.
