Zhejiang University is set to host a series of activities aimed at international students on December 12 and 19, 2025. These initiatives are designed to enhance cultural exchange and foster essential skills among participants, aligning with the strategic vision for an open educational framework as articulated by General Secretary Xi Jinping in his communication to young sinologists.

Underlining the importance of developing virtues and talents, Zhejiang University is committed to enriching the educational experience by enabling exchanges between Chinese and international students. This effort aims to create a cohort of cultural ambassadors who will bridge the gap between diverse civilizations.

The theme of this year's activities, 'A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with "Zhejiang" - Ride Together, Shine Forever,' encapsulates the spirit of collaboration and mutual growth that the university promotes.

The first highlighted event will be an International Student Career and Employment Skills Enhancement Salon, scheduled for December 12, from 14:00 to 15:00. Taking place in Report Hall 112 within the International Education College, this session aims to address challenges international students face in cross-border employment, providing vital skills training and workplace adaptation strategies.

On December 19, from 14:00 to 16:00, Conference Room 426 will host a gathering for PhD students participating in the 'New Sinology Program.' This session will be guided by President Xi Jinping's vision and will feature young sinologists sharing insights into their academic journeys and contributions to cultural exchanges.

The culmination of the festivities will occur on December 26, from 18:00 to 20:30, with the 'Eighth Global Gathering at Zhejiang University' International Students Carnival Cultural Performance. This event promises a vibrant showcase of diverse artistic expressions highlighting the cultural richness of various countries, as well as the talents of international students in mastering Chinese culture.

Following this, on December 27, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, an International Cultural Fair will unfold outside the International Education College. This fair will feature a wide array of cultural displays, interactive experiences, and opportunities for students to share their cultural backgrounds, further enhancing the multicultural landscape of the university.

Additionally, a roundtable exchange for international alumni will take place on December 27, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. This initiative aims to solidify alumni ties and foster a cohesive 'Study Abroad Zhejiang University' community through engaging discussions.

The activities also include the 3rd International Student Academic Achievement Exhibition, running from December 25 to 31. This exhibition expects to feature outstanding academic achievements from international students through an engaging platform, emphasizing the values of academic excellence, innovation, and presentation skills.

Detailed information regarding these events will be shared progressively via the 'Study Abroad Zhejiang University' WeChat public platform, encouraging active participation from both faculty and students.
