Adamson University in the Philippines is currently under renewed scrutiny regarding the accreditation of its doctoral programs, following previous compliance issues highlighted in November 2021. An investigation conducted by our center revealed that certain doctoral studies at the institution did not meet the minimum duration required for a Philippine doctorate degree as stipulated by the Sino-Philippine Mutual Recognition Agreement.
Due to these findings, our center issued a 'Notice of Non-Accreditation' for the affected applicants. In response, Adamson University took corrective actions, revising the accompanying degree certificates and transcripts, as well as modifying the periods in which these degrees were conferred.
In accordance with Article 28 of the 'Measures for Accreditation of Academic Degrees Outside the Country (Overseas)', our center has implemented an enhanced examination process for certification applications related to Adamson University. This revised procedure will result in an extended processing timeline, which is set to be no less than 60 working days from the application submission date.
It is essential to emphasize that degree certificates are legally binding documents that represent an individual's academic achievements and experiences. The practice of altering such certificates is regarded as significant misconduct, with any diploma involved in such revisions failing to meet our center's rigorous certification standards.
In light of the ongoing developments, we urge students currently studying abroad to remain vigilant with respect to announcements regarding these matters. It is critical for students to carefully select educational institutions and programs that are undergoing review to avoid potential issues.
We reaffirm our commitment to maintaining high accreditation standards and ensuring the integrity of academic qualifications.
